We are finally back up and running on our main server. Our main server has been upgraded to 12 GB of ram and dual 1.5 TB hard drives. It has also been moved to a new hosting facility that offers more bandwidth than our previous one.
Sorry to all of those who experienced the SSL issues during this transition. Everything should be resolved now and you should hopefully notice an improvement in load times for the site.
The only known bug that might have occurred is some of the reminders may not have been run while on the temporary server. If you had a recurring transaction set to hit between July 25 and July 30, I would suggest double checking to make sure the transaction was posted to your account.

The site is now running on a temporary server while we upgrade our main server. We hope to have everything moved back to the upgraded main server soon. I will keep everyone posted on that status.

We will be transitioning to the temporary server on Saturday July 25th at 11:00pm central time. The site should only be down for 30-60 minutes maximum while we transfer the database.
While on this temporary server, you may notice a little bit of a slow down for a few days while we get our real server set up again. The specs of the temporary server are a little weaker than what we currently have.
I will keep everyone posted of any updates.

I wanted to give everyone a heads up that we will be upgrading and moving our server soon. There are a few reasons for this update.
1. We will be upgrading the server itself by nearly doubling the RAM to 12 GB and putting dual 1.5 TB hard drives in it. This will help really speed things up on the site.
2. We are going to be rebuilding the software side of the server to speed things up and eliminate all those random crashes that were occurring.
3. We are physically moving the server from Las Vegas, NV to Los Angeles, CA to a new hosting facility that provides much more bandwidth than we currently have.
All three of those combined will help make the site much faster and reliable.
Some time over the next few days we will be moving the site to a temporary server where it will remain while we physically upgrade and move the server. We shouldn't be on this temporary server for more than a few days and it has enough power to handle our traffic in the mean time.
There is no expected downtime during this transition and I'll keep you posted on the progress.

Since this is by far the most requested feature and the one thing that drums up the most discussion on this site, I wanted to give everyone an update to the status of the ClearCheckbook iPhone app.
I am working on the basics of the application right now (adding transactions). For the first version, there will be some basic features such as adding/editing/deleting transactions, managing accounts and categories and syncing with ClearCheckbook.
I am limiting the initial version to these basic functions simply as a way to get a functioning app out on time. After the release of the basic app I will begin developing a more complete app that has reporting, searching, etc capabilities.
I have registered with the Apple iPhone Developer site and started the developer approval process. This must be done in order to put an app up on the App Store. I've heard this process can take a while, so I'm not sure when it will be done. I am hoping this approval comes before I am done with the app.
I thank everyone with an iPhone for staying patient. Having to learn a new programming language takes quite a bit of time... and then turning that knowledge into a reliable app takes even longer.
For those of you with a Palm Pre, BlackBerry or Windows Mobile device... I am focusing on the iPhone app for now for several reasons:
1. The App Store on the iPhone is by far the most used.
2. I have an iPhone myself so it's much easier to test on a device I have.
3. I am one person and can only learn so much at a given time.
After the release of the iPhone app, I will start to pursue other mobile devices.
