This is just a notice that the server will be down for a short period of time on Friday October 5 at midnight eastern time (late Friday night / early Saturday morning) for necessary updates. The update process shouldn't take more than a few minutes and everything should be up and running as normal shortly after that. We'll be standing by in case any issues arise due to this update.

We're currently working on an issue that was brought to our attention about reminder emails not getting sent. Everything looks like it is running fine, but apparently some people aren't getting the emails.

Please let us know if you haven't received a reminder email when you were supposed to so we can try and narrow down what is causing this to happen.

Update: The reminder emails should be functioning normally now. I don't know why some people weren't getting their emails the last few days. Let us know if you still aren't receiving your reminder emails when you're supposed to.

We made several behind the scenes updates to the site tonight and the result should be extremely noticeable. The speed of pretty much everything should be improved. This includes the reports, balances, Google Gadget, Dashboard Widget as well as many of our other features.

We're finishing some updates that we're going to roll out tonight which should help greatly reduce the amount of stress on the site and really help to speed things up.

This update affects the Balance Overview and the balances that appear at the top of the Accounts and Jive pages. These two features of the site draw a lot of processing power the way they're currently being processed. In the new method, things will be much much quicker and won't rely on the database nearly at all to calculate the balances.

In addition to fixing the balances you see on the site, it will also help tremendously speed up the time it takes for the Google Gadget and Dashboard Widget to calculate your overall balances.

The updates will start around 10:00pm EST and could last up to a few hours. During this update, the site could run slower than normal, so be prepared.

CheckBot has been updated to give you the ability to access your category limits. To do this, make sure you don't have any accounts and categories with the same code, then enter the same message to checkbot with your category code.

For example, I have a category set up for food with the code of "f". To get the limit for my food category, I would enter "lim f" and CheckBot will reply with my limit.

Remember, if you're using a cellphone, enter the message as "clearcheckbook:lim f" with the number as 265010.
